Afaf Humayun
Administrative Associate
Afaf Humayun serves as MCYJ's Administrative Associate. Afaf holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in Humanities and Women and Gender Studies. Afaf has experience organizing with grassroots initiatives, as well as experience with Vista Maria as a Volunteer Coordinator and The University of Michigan-Dearborn Humanities/History Internship Office in career counseling. Afaf currently runs a program at the Washtenaw County Jail for Skill and Ability Education called “Job Skills for Success”, and she serves as a Development Officer and Organizer for Narratives of Pain; a storytelling showcase focused on healing through the witnessing and sharing of stories and art. Her writing can be found in Concentrate, The Arab American News, and HuffPost.
