Exploring the Juvenile Justice Landscape
Exploring the Juvenile Justice Landscape
In the wake of historic juvenile justice reforms, MCYJ sought to hear directly from Michiganders about the juvenile justice system. With support from the Marketing Resource Group, a statewide poll of registered voters was conducted in 2024. This comprehensive poll gauged public opinion on critical issues affecting our youth and families. Overwhelmingly, Michigan communities—rural, urban, and suburban alike—support alternatives to detention, data transparency, and workforce opportunities for our youth.
Listen to our recorded webinar, This Just In, presented by MCYJ Policy Director Jen Peacock, to learn in-depth details about the poll results. Don’t have time to listen but want to examine the data? We’ve got you covered! You can view the webinar slide deck, which includes a variety of demographic breakdowns such as race, geography, party affiliation, and gender, here.
