Gabrielle French, M.S.W., is a policy associate with MCYJ, advocating for fair, effective, and evidence-based policies for Michigan youth. Gabrielle began her career as an intern at the Washtenaw County Court, working with youth in diversion programs. She then interned with MCYJ where she assisted the Director of Youth Justice Policy, Jason Smith, in legislative advocacy.
In addition to working with MCYJ, Gabrielle participates in the Carceral State Project, a research collaborative sponsored by the University of Michigan. This collaborative works to bring impacted communities, advocates, and academics together to better understand the impact of the carceral state.
